The wines inside our March subscription box

Welcome back to the monthly reveal of the contents of our best-selling canned wine subscription box; the 6 can Juice Box.

If you’re new here, our Juice Box is our ‘mixed’ wine subscription. It changes with the seasons and is the only box whose contents completely change every month. This blog post covers our most popular sized box which is the 6-can version. You may receive different cans on the 3 and 4-can wine subscriptions.

Let’s kick things off with some bubbles, shall we? This month our subscribers will be enjoying a brand new can that’s arrived at Brixton Wine Club HQ. It’s so new in fact, that we don’t have it listed on our website yet! It’s a Spanish sparkling wine from Hands Off. It is made using 100% Moscatel de Alexandria grapes grown in the mountains facing the Mediterranean Sea. This is a young, fresh and juicy sparkling with aromas of white flowers, orange blossom and jasmine.

The second can inside the subscription is one of our favourites and we hope you love it just as much as we do. It’s Nania’s Orange English wine. It’s a low-intervention skin-contact white wine made with 100% Bacchus grapes grown deep in the Malvern Hills. The grape juice has been fermented with wild yeasts. This is a super approachable and food-friendly orange wine with tropical fruit notes on the nose and palate.

As the first shoots of spring have sprung, it’s time to think about rosé wines. Our subscribers will be enjoying this Pinot Grigio Rosé. Some of you may be thinking…Pinot Grigio is a white wine. Why is this Pinot Grigio a rosé wine? Whilst it has been made predominately from a white-skinned grape, due to the climate in the Pavia region of Italy, the grape skins develop a pink tinge. This is a dry, fresh, and fruity rosé with delicate red berry flavours.

Now, let’s move on to the red wines for the month. This is a healthy deep-crimson-coloured and full-bodied Argentinian Malbec from Nice. It’s jam-packed with dark fruits and earthy notes. On the palate, there are juicy plums and cherries perfectly balanced with a hint of pepper spice. Smooth and silky tannins. A real crowd-pleaser.

Next in the red wines for the month, we have a Primitivo from Italy. This little can packs a robust and rustic wine-filled punch with aromas of plums, chocolate and notes of fruit. This wine tastes great paired with tomato-based sauces. Have you ever wondered what Primitvo means? It comes from the Latin for “early ripening.

The final can our Juice Box subscribers will receive this month is one of the highest-quality canned wines we have ever tasted. It is The Liberator’s New Blood & Chocolate. This red wine is a blend of 61% Cabernet Sauvignon (Blood) and 39% Shiraz (Chocolate). It’s super smooth and full of intense blackberry fruit and peppery spice. The wine is named after Elvis Costello’s 1986 album.

If reading this has made you work up a thirst for some wines, why not start a subscription and start discovering the best-tasting, highest-quality canned wines for yourself. With prices starting at £19 per month, it’d be rude not to.
