The wines that our subscribers will enjoy in February

Welcome back to the monthly reveal of the contents of our best-selling canned wine subscription box; the 6 can Juice Box.

If you’re new here, our Juice Box is our ‘mixed’ wine subscription. It changes with the seasons and is the only box whose contents completely change every month. This blog post covers our most popular sized box which is the 6-can version. You may receive different cans on the 3 and 4-can wine subscriptions.

Scroll down to find out what is inside our canned wine subscription box for February.

The first wine our subscribers will be enjoying is these bubbles from Djuce made by the Hoch family in Austria. The wine is made using a blend of 70% Grüner Veltliner, 25% Riesling and 5% Muscat-Ottonel grape varieties and is a natural wine. On the nose, there’s lemon zest, white flower blossom and fresh herbs. This wine is made in the méthode ancestrale, meaning it is canned before the first fermentation ends.

The second can inside the subscription is a Chilean Sauvignon Blanc which is playfully named Krakati’inii. The grapes for this wine were grown at three different vineyards located 10km from the Pacific Ocean. It is a deliciously grassy and fresh white wine with exotic and stone fruit aromas. As the wine has been fermented on the lees for 3 months, it has some added texture and depth.

For a bit of a step change, we’ve included a floral white wine in this month’s box. This comes in the form of JOIY’s ‘State of Grace’ Pinot Gris from New Zealand. It has gorgeous aromas of rose petals, lychee and sandalwood. The palate offers a generous warmth and richness with a dry finish. Full-bodied and mouth-filling on the palate.

At Brixton Wine Club, we are firm believers that rosé is not just for the summer months and this wine is here to prove that theory. You need to decant this into a glass to appreciate its unexpected colour which has been created by leaving the grape skins in contact with the juice. A delicious, organic, crisp and refreshing Italian rosé.

This is a certified club favourite. Every time we feature this in a delivery or at one of our tastings, you go crazy for it. This is a Malbec for purists - fruity, juicy and with a velveteen texture. This red wine is produced from 25-year-old vines in Mendoza, a region renowned for its high-quality Malbec wine. On the palate, there are rich chocolate flavours with blackberries and a little oak to finish.

The final can our Juice Box subscribers will receive this month is a new addition to the club. (So new it has not made it to the website!) It’s from Hands Off it’s a Pinot Noir made in the Rhine region of Germany. This red is velvety, soft and ruby red in the glass. On the nose, there are juicy cherry aromas which carry over onto the palate. Ripe tannins and a long finish. This wine pairs very well with a curry.
