The July canned wine subscription box - spoiler alert!

It’s the middle of summer and we’re ready to embrace picnics and trips with canned wines; even if the weather isn’t playing ball!

Weather aside, we’ve got a brand new set of cans for you to enjoy this month.

Let’s begin with an award-winning spritz that was made for sunset drinks; the spritzer from Something & Nothing. This has been made using a pale, dry, French rosé from the Côtes de Cascogne which perfectly complements the botanical, tart and refreshing hibiscus and rose soda.

The second can that’s included in our July wine subscription is from Vinca. It’s an organic and vegan white wine from Sicily that’s made using the Catarratto grape. It’s tropical, crisp and citrusy.

We’ve got another gorgeous white wine for you to try this month from America. This Chenin Blanc comes from West + Wilder in Washington and is made using old vines planted in the 1960’s. The vines produce a smaller amount of fruit but the flavour is more intense. Expect lots of peach and a honeyed, floral nose with this one.

Time for rosé! This rosé wine is an interesting one as it’s made predominantly using a white grape variety. However, due to the climate in the Pavia region of Italy that it’s grown in, the skins develop a pink tinge. We can’t wait to hear what our subscribers make of this wine!

Staying firmly in Italy for the next few wines, we’ve got an organic frizzante red wine. This canned red wine is best enjoyed slightly chilled. It’s full of dark fruit flavours with a gentle spritz. The wine has gotten it’s spritz from undergoing natural fermentation.

Our final wine is a bit of an unsung hero, in our opinion. The Nebbiolo grape variety is not often seen on wine lists or restaurant menus and we don’t understand why. It’s a rich and fruity red wine with cherries, plums and a hint of star anise. It’s very food-friendly and delicious. We think you’re going to love this ‘Fesity’ can from Piedmont, Italy.
