A look inside the May Juice Box

If you wanted a sneaky peek at what’s in our best-selling Juice Box wine subscription this month - look no further. The Juice Box is our ‘mixed’ wine subscription. It changes with the seasons and is the only box whose contents completely change every month so we can introduce you to new canned wine brands.

So let’s kick things off by revealing the first canned wine featured in the May 6 can wine subscription box.

Starting things off with a spritz, we have some Australian bubbles from JOIY. This is a multi-award winning Prosecco style sparkling canned wine. On the palate, there's a gorgeous burst of ripe fruit followed by a citrus finish.

Next up, we’re heading to South Africa with The Liberator to try a Chenin Blanc - the most widely planted in all of the country. This particular Chenin in question is made using old bush vines and has been designed to demonstrate what can be achieved with a little bit of care and attention in both the vineyard and the cellar.

Rosé drinking season (and weather, hopefully) is finally upon us and what better way to begin than with some English wine. Three Choirs fruity rosé is made using a blend of grape varieties grown in Gloucestershire. It’s a soft and fruity off-dry rosé with aromas of summer berries.

Sticking with the theme of English wine, we’ve got another in this month’s wine subscription. Nania’s Vineyard’s Somerset Pinot Blend is made with 60% Pinot Meunier and 40% Pinot Noir. It has been naturally fermented with wild yeasts and is best enjoyed served slightly chilled. There is some naturally occurring and unharmful sediment inside the cans; something to bare in mind with your final glug of the can!

A firm new-found favourite of ours is this Pinotage from The Copper Crew. Hailing from South Africa and described by the winemaker as ‘adult grape juice’ - what could be better? If you like Shiraz, you'll love this canned red wine.

The final can is another new member of the wine club. Vondeling, meaning ‘foundling’ lies on the slopes of the Paardeberg mountains about 45 minutes from Cape Town in South Africa. This is their petit rouge can, made from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It has been oak aged with fermentation taking place inside the barrel.
