Advent Calendar: Day 22

Winemaker Rodolfo organically farms 60 hectares of vines and has never used any herbicides or pesticides, as he seeks to promote biodiversity and re-wild the farm. Along with his father Andres, they have been farming grapes in Valencia for 3 generations.

Kiss of Wine Picante

Garnacha (or Grenache) is bold and well-structured. Tintorera is the only red wine where the colour comes from both the skin and the pulp, resulting in a deep, rich crimson that coats the glass and fills the mouth.

Country: Spain

Tasting notes: Aromas of vibrant dark berry fruits like blackberry and cherry. On the palate, there’s blackberry, plum and spicy black pepper. This wine pairs really well with grilled red meats and wintery stews so is perfect for this time of year. Deep purple in the glass - make sure you pour this one out of the can to appreciate the colour!
